shipping
At Weskit we make to order and carry a minimum of stock. This ensures the best fit for each wearer, minimises wastage – and allows us to maximise choice in outers, linings and more. We buy our outers in short lengths, some being purchased to order. This allows us to offer customers a wide choice of fabrics and minimises wastage – but does mean that orders requiring fabric to be shipped in tend to take a few days longer than those that don't.
If we have your chosen fabric in stock and we are making to a standard size, we aim to ship within 14 days. If you need yours more urgently, drop us an email and we will do our best to meet your timing. For waistcoats requiring more complex adjustments we can best advise on timing at the time of taking your order.
We ship our waistcoats carefully wrapped in re-cycled Kraft tissue paper. The tissue helps prevent them from creasing too much and is worth holding onto for travelling or to shape shoes with. Once wrapped in the tissue, our waistcoats are packed in beautiful hand-crafted boxes covered in re-cycled Kraft paper. Our boxes are made for us by MacCarthy & Sons, a wonderful fifth-generation family business in Woolwich using traditional box-making techniques. We hope you will hold on to your box and find a good use for it; if you don’t have room for it, you can always compost it – but ideally, please let us know. We will cover the return postage and use your box for storage.
postage
Weskit currently only ships to addresses within the United Kingdom. We use Royal Mail Special Delivery, which is a signed-for, next-day delivery service that we charge for at cost.
Your purchase will be insured from the time we dispatch it to the moment it is delivered to you, or handed to the person you nominate to take delivery on your behalf.
Every shipment will require a signature of receipt and this signature will signify successful delivery and fulfilment. Once your item is delivered and signed for, the responsibility of your purchased goods passes to you.
Weskit is not liable for a lost or missing order that has been signed for in a building, such as a portered block or office, that has been provided for delivery.
When placing your order, please take every care to ensure that all the details concerning your billing and shipping are correct, including your mobile number and email address.
Regrettably we are unable to redirect packages once the postage has been processed.
our prime concern is your satisfaction
please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions prior to ordering and with any feedback once you have received your waistcoat.
if you are in any way dissatisfied with your waistcoat when it arrives, please let us know – we will do our very best to sort or replace it.
bespoke waistcoats
While we will always endeavour to adapat an order where we can, you will not be able to cancel an order for any waistcoat with bespoke adjustments once production has commenced. Because we make them to your specific requirements, customised waistcoats are non-returnable and non-refundable.
Please be aware that post production modifications are limited – we cannot lengthen or let out our waistcoats, change fabrics or linings or switch one cut for another once production has started. Please take care at the time of placing your order with us and ask as many questions as you would like!
Any waistcoats being returned for alteration should be sent to us via the same Royal Mail Special Delivery insured next day service we shipped the waistcoat out in. Once the requested alterations have been made, we will return the waistcoat to you using the same service which we charge for at cost.
returns
Standard sized and house stock waistcoats are returnable. Every such waistcoat we ship, we send out with a ribbon threaded through the right arm, looped through the collar and joined at the front with a wax seal.
Please try on your waistcoat and make sure you are happy with it before breaking the seal, cutting or trying to remove the ribbon. Once the ribbon is cut or the seal is broken, we cannot accept the waistcoat's return.
Any waistcoat that is returned must have its ribbon and seal intact, be unworn and unwashed, and have all protective materials in place.
Bespoke waistcoats that have been adapted to your requirements are non-returnable.
returning your waistcoat
Any waistcoat you return should be shipped back to us within 14 days in its original box and packaging using the same Royal Mail insured service that we used to send it to you. We would also appreciate it if you would use the tissue paper to fold the waistcoat back up in before sending it back.
We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the ribbon or seal is broken, if the waistcoat shows signs of wear or has been altered from its original condition in any way. In this instance, you can of course choose to have the waistcoat sent back to you at your own expense.
If you wish to return or exchange a waistcoat, please notify us by email at info@weskit.co.uk and return it to us within 14 days of receiving your order. We will refund you as soon as we have received and inspected your returned coat or, at the very latest, within 14 days.
